IBM Corporation Senior Software Engineer in Yorktown Heights, New York
Senior Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, NY (Up to 40 % telecommuting permitted): Collaborate with software developers, hardware developers, and researchers to architect and develop software for use in the company software stack. Design the software architecture to implement agreed upon product development goals, write code to execute designs co-created with software, hardware, and research team members, and deploy the code into production systems. Interface with multiple other teams within internal quantum software to ensure that requirements are well defined and understood, timelines are defined, and dependencies are identified and resolved. Work with and mentor other members of the software team to promote good software development practices and principles. Serve as the technical lead for a group of roughly thirty developers across three sub-teams. Utilize: Kubernetes, Agile and Scrum development methodologies, Qiskit, Rust, NATS. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept Associates degree plus two (2) years of IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Kubernetes, Agile and Scrum development methodologies, Qiskit, Rust, NATS. $251,606.52 - $289,200.00 per year.
