Job Title: CNC Set-Up Machinist

Job Description

The CNC Set-Up Machinist will be responsible for setting up CNC Lathes and some Mills in the Machine Shop. You will be highly experienced in setting up CNC Machines of various axes and styles. You will take a blueprint and program, then document the process to align with ISO standards.

Each new job process will involve: - Taking initial blueprint and program - Selecting proper tooling and performing initial setup and first particle inspection - Documenting the setup process, tooling needed, etc., to generate an Op Print for each step in the machining process - Partnering with Engineering to generate a full set of Op Prints and setup documentation for each new job - Working within MasterCAM for programming and edits

This is a day shift role from Monday to Friday. Hours can vary, but start times may be as early as 6am or as late as 9am.

This is a fully on-site position in York, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

The machine shop is a 110,000 square foot facility with between 50 and 60 machining centers, ranging from manual machines to CNC Lathes and CNC Mills. The shop currently employs just under 50 people, primarily Machinists or CNC Operators, along with assemblers and shipping associates. Machinists and operators are expected to work independently at their machining centers and handle all measuring, inspecting, and deburring of parts. This is a clean working environment, and the family-owned business takes great pride in their facility, treating all employees well. The shop operates only a first shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm.
