Westchester Jewish Community Services CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER, DSS (GROUP FOCUSED) in Yonkers, New York

Overview:

We are seeking a (Group Focused) Clinical Social Worker to join our team at our DSS Yonkers satellite office. This is a full-time position with a compensation range of $60,000-$63,000/year. We offer a compressed scheduled, with workdays from Monday through Wednesday, 8:15-6:15, and Thursdays $8:15-5:15. Additionally, a partially remote schedule is currently available.

Responsibilities

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Facilitating various group therapy programs and educational workshops at request of Yonkers DSS, covering topics such as parenting support, parent management training, anger management, school truancy.

  • Providing mental health treatment to a reduced caseload in various modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices.

  • Working in partnership with DSS workers, providing consultation, guidance, and advocacy related to mental health needs.

  • Conducting comprehensive intake assessments and developing written treatment plans with clients in compliance with OMH regulations.

    Requirements:

    We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work.

  • New York State LMSW licensure required.

  • Previous experience facilitating group therapy.

  • Thorough knowledge of modern principles and techniques of Social Work.

  • Demonstrated interest and experience in working with multi-problem families.

  • Excellent knowledge of community resources.

  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
