JOB REQUIREMENTS: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Perform equipment and system troubleshooting (repair, remove, assemble); preventative maintenance on equipment (i.e., head saws, trim saws, rip saws, moulders, planers, conveyors, grinders, chippers, etc.). Repair or replace chains, belt conveyors, gear boxes/drive chains, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding/cutting, and using power tools. Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections; inspect used parts to determine dimensional change requirements; adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair/replace defective parts; install special functional and structural parts in devices; lubricate/clean parts. Start devices to test performance; setup and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Perform building utility systems such as electrical wiring and controls, heating and ventilating systems, and water distribution and plumbing systems. Read blueprint and sketches proficiently to fabricate equipment and make modifications. Initiate purchase order for parts and machines. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: One year certificate from college or technical school and three to five years related experience and/or training in installation, industrial maintenance, and the repair of various machines and equipment.
