Laboratory Assistant I responsible for entering patient and specimen information into the computer system. They prepare laboratory specimens for designated locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing. Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday, 1 pm - 9:30 pm / part time status You will: * Ability to perform support functions in the laboratory. * Assess and accession laboratory specimens. * Data entry and scan requisition images * Assist send-outs. * Provide support services for other departments, clients, and pathologists. * Quality control data entry * Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Certifications: * High school diploma or equivalent Skills and Abilities * Competency with computers and MS Office programs * Previous data entry experience preferred. * Laboratory experience along with medical terminology knowledge preferred. * Ability to maintain accuracy, especially with numeric sequencing. * Detail oriented * Excellent organizational skills * Adhere to HIPAA patient confidentiality standards.
