What does the role look like?

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Nacelles Value Stream in Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will manage sustaining programs and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities, driving cost reduction, process improvements, and operational effectiveness across multiple projects.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

• Value Engineering & Cost Reduction: Lead value engineering projects and initiatives, presenting them to customers as part of contractual agreements. Drive cost reduction activities across ten Nacelles Original Equipment (OE) programs.

• KPI Management: Ensure KPI management for operations cost control and reduction, track and close projects impacting manufacturing and labor costs.

• Operational Support: Support and report on operational effectiveness and transformation projects, including supply chain transfer packages and dropship activities improvement.

• Team Management: Engage cross-functionally and with multinational teams, managing three small legacy programs (777/777X, Trent).

• Customer Representation: Represent the company in customer reviews, ensuring high standards of quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential skills:

• Proven project management experience, preferably with an engineering background.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with staff at all organizational levels.

• Experience in manufacturing cost reduction and customer representation.

Desirable skills:

• Strong statistical and analytical skills.

• Ability to lead diverse teams to achieve common goals under pressure.

• Familiarity with project management IT tools (e.g., MS Project) and earned value techniques.

• Passion for cost management and creating a cost-conscious culture.

• Experience working within a matrix environment.

• Knowledge of the aerospace, defence or similar industry.

• Self-starter with innovative thinking.

• Flexible, calm under pressure, and responsive to change.
