Please review the following job description:

The Director of Consumer Lending Product Performance owns CSBB product strategy, vision and future roadmap, including ensuring a cohesive end to customer journey throughout the lending lifecycle. The position specifically oversees the unsecured lending product research and development, risk identification, industry benchmarking, and works in collaboration with numerous partners on production objectives, efficiency, customer and teammate experience. This includes research the creation of new products, product enhancements and product redesign that deliver value to all stakeholders.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Lead the team building products that meet the borrowing needs of our customers while adhering to all product policies and regulations ensuring all legal, compliance and audit standards are fully met

  2. Manage to the overall profitability of the portfolio including risk-adjusted margins through effective oversight of risk and pricing for each product

  3. Manage to the competitive landscape, industry trends, customer research and market demand by analyzing customer needs and developing product solutions that align with the overall business strategy

  4. Work within the Agile frames with cross-functional teams to design, innovate, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy

  5. Lead the development of new capabilities that leverage both internal Truist capabilities and external vendors to bring additional efficiency and value to the organization.

  6. Represent the product to the entire Truist organization, including executive presentations, sales force engagement, servicing and operational functions within Truist.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field

  2. 15+ years’ experience in financial services with experience in consumer lending, banking systems and risk management (credit/collections/operational risk), and the product development lifecycle

  3. Ability to balance strategy, execution and operational requirements

  4. Strong leader with collaboration and teamwork skills, creative vision, strong communication and public speaking skills, customer focused experience

  5. Experience working in agile

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Banking School degree / Master Degree

  2. Direct Leadership of Unsecured loan products
