Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Windsor, Connecticut

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk within the manufacturing industry. The role is based in Windsor, Connecticut, United States. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities related to customer credit applications, customer credit records, and customer credit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications and ensure efficiency in all processes

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records

• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Assist in the resolution of payment issues by contacting clients and setting up payment plans

• Provide information to various stakeholders, including shippers, customers, and the sales/marketing department

• Ensure compliance with GAAP when processing payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports

• Balance bank accounts and post and balance financial data in various ledgers

• Execute basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures

• Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means such as written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment.

Skills required include proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Collections, and Billing.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) with a proven track record of managing receivable ledgers

• Experience with Cash Collections, demonstrating ability to follow up on overdue accounts and resolve payment issues

• Familiarity with Billing processes, including creating and sending out invoices, and managing paid and unpaid invoices

• Experience in a Manufacturing industry setting is preferred

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers regarding payments and resolve any discrepancies

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work individually and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on information available

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness due to the sensitive nature of information handled.
