New Hanover County Government Public Health Nurse Zone 2 (Immunizations Program Lead) in Wilmington, North Carolina

Position Information

New Hanover County is seeking a public health nurse program coordinator in clinic services responsible for serving as the lead for the immunization program. In addition to performing nursing duties in the public health clinic, this position performs professional work writing/updating policies and procedures; mentoring/training new staff; serving as the point of contact for staff; coordinating client referrals, conducting client record audits; coordinate vaccine outreaches; providing program reports; managing vaccine inventory and safety; assisting the supervisor with the assigning and monitoring of work and providing back-up in the absence of the supervisor. While work will focus on the immunizations program, the selected candidate will be cross-trained to work in the sexually transmitted disease (STD), family planning, and immunization programs. Must be available to work during emergency situations. **FLSA Status:** Exempt **Compensation:** The hiring range for this position begins at **$60,943** plus a competitive benefits package. Salary will be determined based on qualifications. Qualifications

: - Valid RN license with eligibility to practice in NC

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and 2 years of professional nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds of equipment. ********What will make your application stand out:** ****** - Prior experience working in an immunization program.
