BlackRock Change Coordinator, Service Management, Associate in Wilmington, Delaware

About this role

Your team:

Through this role, you can help coordinate some of the most technologically sophisticated changes in the industry.

The Service Management team coordinates the efforts of technology and development teams ensuring the stability of the Aladdin platform and BlackRock infrastructure while supporting our fast pace of innovation.

Change coordinators communicate the impact of high-risk changes and releases to technology and business partners, while securing approvals and consensus from the Change Advisory Board. The team also coordinates security patching across the technology infrastructure with the mission to achieve the firm’s compliance and security goals.

Your role and Impact:

An individual working in this role will have the chance to define relationships with IT teams across the globe and will be exposed to many different applications and technologies used at BlackRock; resulting in an overarching view of how functional teams and technology work together to deliver services to end users while driving a culture of preparedness and quality.

The team proactively looks for opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the change control processes against a variety of key performance indicators and ensures that all relevant teams follow the established policies and procedures, while providing management with a report on change progress.

You have:

The candidate is encouraged to have proven knowledge and experience in all parts of the IT delivery life cycle. We are seeking talent that thinks in an innovative way, values collaboration, has emotional ownership, and will go above and beyond to help develop the company. Our Service Management team has a wide and varied skills, but we’re particularly interested in meeting people with experience in some of the following:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent demands

  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team effort

  • Quick learner who will learn new systems or processes

  • Highly motivated individual who takes full ownership of responsibilities and is a responsible team member

  • Proven technical skills, including desktop technology, basic TCP/IP networking and basic SDLC understanding

  • Scripting or basic development language skills to automate common tasks

  • 3+ years of experience in a production support or client services role; financial services a plus

Your advantages:

  • Knowledge of security standard methodologies, patching and Service Now is a plus

  • Experience and knowledge of change control principles, methodologies and tools are a plus
