The Administrative Assistant performs various administrative and technical functions in support of the Auditors Office.
Examples of Duties The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents in this position. The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and may change with or without notice. - Provides customer service over the phone, through email, and in person
- Processes, issues, and files a variety of permits and licenses following applicable regulations
- Supports townships; assists in coordinating the issuance and processing of forms; updates and maintains township contact information and compiles reports
- Processes abatements in coordination with the Treasurers Office
- Confirms property tax payments prior to deed transfer
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail; routes mail to proper recipient
- Coordinates the annual disposal of records
- Assists in election duties following required procedures
- Performs general administrative duties, including preparing correspondence, data entry, filing, maintaining department inventory, and operating office equipment
- Maintains confidentiality of non-public records and makes available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code.
Typical Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Supplemental Information Special Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work outside regular work hours during elections
Compensation:Starting pay ranges from $21.25 to $24 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
