As the Global Sales Director for the Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, you will be responsible for driving global revenue with a particular emphasis on expanding the RFID tag business through partnerships with OEMs, VARs, and Systems Integrators. ISC, part of HID’s strongly growing Business Area Identification Technologies (IDT), has large potential for both organic growth and growth through acquisitions. Your success will hinge on coaching and developing your team to grow each global territory using a mix of direct and indirect sales strategies to expand current accounts, build sales pipelines, and close new business.

In this role, you will define, implement, and drive the Business Unit sales strategy, ensuring alignment with key strategic priorities and leading a team to meet ISC revenue targets. This highly collaborative position demands strong team leadership and managerial skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the interrelationship between global functions and Business Unit resources within a decentralized matrix organization.

Industrial Smart Component (ISC) Business Unit, within IDT, is a global leader in producing standard and custom RFID Tags for Industry & logistics, healthcare, animal identification and fueling automation markets, with manufacturing sites in Malaysia, China and US.

As our Global Sales Director ISC , you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Leading the ISC sales team. Acting as a mentor and coach while providing leadership and implementing BU strategy to drive organic growth in defined territories.

  • Securing and growing ISC revenue and market share through new and established channel partners by being the preferred choice by customers, building relationships, and identifying how ISC products can support various applications and use cases.

  • Developing ISC sales channels and routes to market for OEM, VARs and Systems Integrator with focus given to OEM in collaboration with Marketing and Business Development teams.

  • Collaborating, coordinating, and developing synergies with Central Revenue Operations Team including Territory Sales Managers, Inside Sales Team and other Global functions to drive organic growth worldwide and strategic objectives alignment.

  • Providing on-time and up-to-date forecasts and attainment of ISC revenue on a regular basis.

  • Driving and coordinating / consolidating the yearly sales budget to ISC Leadership.

  • Continuously following-up and analyzing the ISC sales pipeline with the ISC Sales Team, Central Revenue Operations Team and Business Development Team.

  • Reporting to ISC Leadership on overall performance of direct and indirect sales as well as identification of challenges, opportunities, and necessary changes.

  • Leading development and management of ISC Sales Incentive Plans in collaboration with ISC and Central Revenue Operations Leadership.

  • Managing and continuing to build a geographically distributed team of around 5-10 people.

  • Achieving agreed sales revenue targets as identified and agreed to.

  • Delivering excellent day-to-day operational guidance, coaching and career development guidance to the ISC Sales Team.

  • Leading and developing the sales culture and excellence to ensure that ISC sales team has a strong morale, high retention and continues to be a desirable business unit to work for.

  • Developing, building and maintaining executive level relationships within other IDT Business Units to generate cross-sales synergies (for example cross-selling of RFID readers).

  • Performing any other duties as deemed necessary by the sales management.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

  • Proficient at using Salesforce.com or other CRM systems.

  • Proficient at using Oracle Analytics Cloud or similar financial reporting systems.

    Your Experience and Education include:

  • Degree in sales, technical sales, or equivalent education, along with relevant industry experience.

  • Proven excellence in teamwork and a customer-centric approach.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and perform under pressure to meet deadlines and drive initiatives within a complex matrix organization.

  • Technical expertise in LF, HF, and UHF RFID technologies.
