The Position:
The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in assisting the Accounting Supervisor with managing the finances of our business, including creating financial transactions and generating relevant reports. The position will also collaborate and communicate with employees, vendors, and customers to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Verify financial transactions for accuracy
- Responsible for Zendesk tickets assigned to accounting, work and complete
- New customer setup in accounting system
- Prepare monthly customer invoices
- New Vendor setup in accounting system
- Check, verify and code vendor invoices
- Process weekly AP check run as required
- Reconcile various vendor, credit card and bank statements
- Process annual 1099s
- File monthly sales tax reports
- Perform general accounting tasks
- Monthly store count reconciliation
- Responsible for specific month end reconciliations and accruals
- Responsible for managing Accounts Receivable
- Other duties as assigned
