Robert Half is recruiting for a strong Accounting Manager Consultant to support our large privately held Transportation client. The consultant will support and be the liaison for the client's Mexican partner 30% of the time. Spanish fluency written and spoken at a business level is required to analyze financial reports, variance analysis and explain business transactions including lease accounting and revenue recognition.

In addition, the consultant will assist at the Corporate Accounting team with the month-end close preparation including preparing all balance sheet account reconciliations, reviewing account reconciliations, ensuring all subledgers and reports match the general ledger, preparing any adjusting journal entries and preparing audit schedules as required by the external auditor. This role will be remote.

Soft skills:

Must be personable with good presentation skills to communicate with all levels of senior management and the External Audit Partner and audit team on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role and with Transportation/ Trucking industry ( ideal)

• Demonstrated proficiency in General Ledger management

• Proven experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Fluent Spanish language skills and English ( required)

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management skills.
