ACE American Insurance Company Full Stack Developer in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey
Full Stack Developer (ACE American Insurance Company (Chubb)) (Jersey City, NJ): Developing and maintaining applications, ensuring compatibility with emerging and legacy technology platforms; Designing, Developing, and maintaining backend architecture to transmit, save and fetch data that supports applications functionalities; Developing and maintaining API to transmit and save information collected from the web applications; Executing design and code reviews, performance tests, test automation, and unit test strategies, ensuring software deliverables are functioning as intended and within specification; Devising and executing efforts to carry out proactive maintenance and monitoring of systems/applications, with the aim of evaluating existing code, infrastructure, and operations to anticipate issues that arise; Leading and developing Cloud-based systems and digital transformation initiatives as appropriate and in line with business and technology vision and needs; Developing and implementing rapid Release and Change Management practices and policies, ensuring development efforts proceed in an orderly and efficient manner that can be understood by stakeholders; Helping analyze information accurately and make logical, data-driven decisions that help in maximizing efficiency; Evolving and implementing a set of standardized processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality of software application maintenance and support activities; and Collaborating with other enterprise IT teams or external vendor solution providers to drive increasing maturity of the managed services model tied to specific business outcomes, such as driving down operational costs, reducing outages, reducing technical debt, addressing security vulnerabilities, and reducing backlog of defects. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience in Frameworks such as Angular 9, angular JS, React JS, Knockout, Node JS and .NET; Experience in programming Languages such as: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Python, C, C#, and jQuery; Experience with Google Analytics to track user activities on web applications; Experience with different operating systems such as Windows, and MacOS to ensure cross platform compatibility; Experience in database management systems such as, MYSQL, MongoDB and COSMOS DB; Experience with JENKINS and Kubernetes to handle, manage and support web applications and API deployments; Experience with web applications security vulnerabilities scanning tools such as: SAST and SCA; Experience with Azure services such as blob storage accounts, Database containers, and web app services; Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse, Visual studio, Visual studio Code, Slack and Android studio; and Experience with version control systems such as: JIRA, GITHUB, and GIT. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related field, and at least one year of experience as a Full stack developer or related occupation.
