Job Purpose Summary

  • The Manager, IT Operations will be responsible for the leadership and management of the IT Operations function, driving a standardized approach to how we deliver and support services across the organization globally. This role will be part of the Infrastructure, Security & Operations leadership team and help set standards across the organization. We are looking for a hands-on leader that can work closely with their team.

What you will do

  • Leads the IT Operations team, providing coaching, mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluations.

  • Manages prioritization and assignment of work across the Operations team.

  • Ensures cross training of IT Operations team, assuring redundant support is always available.

  • Accountable for project planning of IT Operations initiatives - scope included, target timelines, and vendor communication.

  • Accountable for escalation from Operations team members and other IT functions.

  • Drives continuous improvements within the IT Operations ensuring best practice and procedures, develops processes to deliver consistent results

  • Oversee device asset management and procurement and access control procedures.

  • Accountable for the IT Operations asset inventory and renewal cycle.

  • Manages the implementation of new technologies within IT Operations and lead the coordination/communication with impacted parties.

  • Communicate systems status, outages, deficiencies and progress on resolution.

  • Research and review (or oversee the process) new technologies and analyzes their application to current operational needs.

  • Build a team and manage direct reports, including hiring, day-to-day management and development.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline.

  • 10 + years of IT experience and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a leadership capacity required. Global experience a plus.

  • Experience with managing and building out offshore resources

  • Experience with implementing and supporting Office 365, MS Azure and Cloud based systems.

  • Experience with VMWare Cluster, vCenter management, Nimble Storage, HP Server/Network hardware.

  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Server, Exchange Online, Active Directory/Azure AD, MS SQL, Palo Alto Firewall.

  • ITIL certification and experience preferred.

  • Proven leadership, coaching, and teambuilding skills.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences.

  • Highly self-motivated who can deliver results.

  • Strong negotiation and prioritization skills.

  • Able to influence others and effect change of direction, while keeping participants fully engaged.

  • Able to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
