Duties : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Identifying opportunities to build innovative tools and solve unique operations problems. Creating apps or scripts to automate operational tasks and incorporate the solutions into our platform. Receiving alerts and performing triage to diagnose and resolve critical issues. Coordinating with release management to understand the impact of deployments in production.

Collaborating with operations and development teams. Analyzing problems in the environment with a mind for restoration of service now and automated prevention in the future. Collaborating closely with your team in understanding the wide array of systems and their interdependencies. Communicating across the organization to maintain awareness, direct

restoration efforts and identify situationally appropriate knowledge workers. Identifying existing metrics and monitoring systems to prevent duplication of effort. Elevating awareness of the importance of availability of our platform. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $168,520 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Engineering Management, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: REST, SOAP Services, Web APIs, JavaScript, and MongoDB or SQL; WebSphere application servers Splunk and Toad; Setting up a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins or Bamboo; Security tools Veracode or Checkmarkx; Software development using .Net; Building cloud native applications in Azure; and Automation of repetitive tasks using Python, Shell script or PowerShell.
