Charles Schwab Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Lead (PL) in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Collaborate with business, operations, and technology partners to deliver the systems integration and process improvement. Set up development best practices, processes, and tools to ensure high quality delivery of software projects on time and budget. Lead multiple parallel initiatives with broad range of responsibilities including technical design & leadership, engineering staff personnel management, product owner relationship management, scrum oversight, and delivery leadership. Develop and present detailed systems architecture and design documents. Develop code in accordance with the Agile best practices and meet acceptance criteria. Provide hands-on technical coding and mentoring for all members of the team to ensure team and project success. Identify technology risks and dependencies early to establish mitigation plans. Meet periodically with onshore and offshore developers to review and improve code quality, requirements specification and design methodologies. Support release manager to assemble releases and drive improvements in the release process. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Job Location: Westlake, TX

Salary: $215,720 to $269,300 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or related field plus 7 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience. Experience must include some experience in each of the following skills: Web and service development in Java, .NET, and C#; Developing and managing Microservices, REST APIs and SOAP-based Web Services; Front-End Web Application Development (Angular, Typescript, Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS, Ajax, Web Forms, and Silverlight); Cloud technologies in Azure, Pivotal Platform, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP); Designing databases optimization across NoSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, and SQL; Test Driven Development and Behavioral Driven Development through Cucumber and Selenium, Performance Tuning, and Memory Optimization through jprofiler, dotTrace and dotProfile; and Designing and creating DevOps environment and automating the software delivery pipeline.

We offer a competitive pay and benefits package. Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above.
