Performs first piece, in-process, and final inspections ensuring all quality standards are met. Continually monitoring quality systems for compliance. Accountabilities and Responsibilities: * To observe all safety rules/regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner. * Perform safety audits and/or observations. (CBT's and safety program) * Understands what machines and products are being manufactured. * Communicate with the quality technician from the previous shift and discuss all pertinent information regarding manufacturing issues (orders, machine issues, staffing...). * Perform first piece inspections, perform in-process inspections and perform final inspections. * Perform periodic inspections on production lines to ensure the products are within acceptable limits (weight, tolerances...). Contact operator and report any non-conforming issues. * Train operators on each machine to ensure clear understanding of quality standards. * Assist with new product launch qualification and other objectives as directed by quality supervisor/manager. * Ensure that shipping containers are packed according to customer specifications. Box counts. * Maintain calibration system. Update and maintain compliance. * Assists on machines/lines as required. * Coordinate with Production or other personnel in developing and taking necessary corrective action when non-conformances are discovered. * Communicate issues in analyzing Quality System performance using available data from statistical processes, audit information, etc. * Be attentive to inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and processes in need of improvement. * Assist quality supervisor/manager with the proper organization, retention, and maintenance of quality records. * Fill out NCRs as necessary. * Provide training and assistance to new employees. * Report non-compliance of policies to local management. * Be an active participant in Performance Improvement teams. * Must be committed to providing our customers a product that is safe and meets specifications, regulations and statutory requirements.
