Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital Front Desk Receptionist - Evenings in Westborough, Massachusetts

Are you a warm and welcoming individual? If yes, then Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is looking to hire you as our Evening Front Desk Receptionist. In this full time position you will support the essential front desk functions to manage all types of visitors requiring entrance to the hospital, and support administrative projects when directed. The receptionist is responsible for maintaining the organization of the hospital lobby, and ensure that the environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for those visiting, departing and those entering to conduct hospital business. The receptionist is approachable, respectful and fosters an attitude of ownership and accountability.

Essential Duties:

  • Screens for safety and directs incoming calls or visitors to the appropriate individual or department, and ensures each receives the best customer care

  • Answers questions/inquiries as needed. Researches and follows up on inquiries that require more in-depth information.

  • Collaborates with Administrative, Clinical and Medical staff in both routine and emergency situations (e.g., visitation, discharge, patient belongings and patient codes, etc.)

  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and adheres to hospital policy and procedure relating to employee conduct, health & safety, quality management, proper use and care of equipment and any other Human Resource policies regarding employee behavior.

  • Receives, sorts and forwards mail and packages

  • Accepts and completes special projects timely as may be assigned from time to time

  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance

Requirements

Education and/or Licensure – High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree a plus.

Experience – Minimum of 1 year business office experience. Some health care related experience a plus.

Schedule – This is a full-time, 32-hour position. The work schedule is Tuesday/Thursday from 1:30 pm – 10 pm, and Saturday/Sunday from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

· Must have superior verbal communication skills, and present a professional image both in person and over the phone.

· Ability to easily establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from clients and the general public.

· Ability to listen and understand the needs of clients, staff and the general public.

· Familiar in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) and supporting hospital software applications

· Ability to work with and adapt to co-workers

· Ability to maintain composure, and assist as may become necessary in stressful situations

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task when necessary
