Job Title: Software Engineer - AI and Neural NetworksJob Description

Join our team as a Software Engineer and take the lead in designing and developing real-time AI – Neural Network solutions for railway maintenance equipment. You will be responsible for implementing ML algorithms, writing clean, documented code, and developing communication protocols. Your role will also involve generating requirements, designing documentation, planning and delivering testing, and integrating tested products into the QA process. You will apply your communication and problem-solving skills to resolve software issues throughout the design, development, deployment, testing, and operation phases. This position requires up to 15% travel time.

Hard Skills

• 3+ years of experience in developing CNN, R-CNN type neural networks for computer vision tasks

• 3+ years of experience in software development using C++/Python

• Experience with TensorFlow, Café, PyTorch, Keras, Darknet, OpenCV

• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson / Nano / Orin

• Knowledge of Linux Operating System

• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL) to manipulate data

• Experience with edge computing & controlling devices for real-time application

• Experience with optimizing neural networks for low-power mobile platforms (e.g., pruning, distillation, quantization)

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in West Columbia, South Carolina and some days remote.
