ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED preferred

EXPERIENCE

One (1) year of prior bar-back or busser experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Must be 18+ years of age.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.

  • Must manage time effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Must demonstrate sound judgment and mature decision-making.

  • Must possess and demonstrate great attention to detail in order to maintain the unit’s appearance and operating standards.

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment while maintaining proper portion control, safety, health, and service standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s “Unsurpassed Service” standards at all times.

  • Inform immediate supervisor of any product shortages and equipment needs.

  • Must hold a TIPS alcohol training certification card. Must carry TIPS cards at all times during shift and act responsibly in accordance with health and alcohol training.

  • Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. Comply with Board of Health Standards and ServeSafe.

  • Webfire training; know how to properly lift heavy items, push/pulling items, being cautious of surroundings at all times for the safety of yourself, others, and the property.

  • Maintain good personal grooming and uniform standards pursuant to the Company’s policies.

  • Have knowledge of the SDS booklet location for your area.

  • Must have knowledge of casino safety procedures and emergency evacuation procedures for the guests and team members.

  • Inform manager on duty of any Team Member of Guest opportunities.

  • Be knowledgeable on the proper handling and use of chemicals by utilizing cleaning supplies including stainless steel cleaner, disinfectants, and all-purpose cleaners.

  • Have product recognition and know-how to properly fill out a product transfer sheet for accuracy of inventory purposes.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the stock in the pump/soda room, sweep and mop floors, remove the trash, ensure the beer cooler is set up for success for each shift, ensure that the area is well stocked, and notify the manager when orders must be placed.

  • Polish all brass behind bars and surrounding tile area.

  • Polish all mirrors.

  • Ensure an “Unsurpassed Service” image of all bars and storage areas.

  • Deep cleaning of all bars i.e. floor drains, coolers, shelves, floors and grout, walls, sinks, etc.

  • All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

  • Requires the physical ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, walk, grasp, sit, stand, bend, and reach for the duration of the shift.

  • Requires the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, walk frequently bend or reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance.

  • Ability to push or pull a cart and/or operate a pallet jack with or without assistance.

  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. with or without assistance.

WORK CONDITIONS

Work is typically in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
