A Project Engineer Manager is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Waverly, IA area. The role involves overseeing capital investments and managing projects related to fixed assets in a cross-functional team, requiring a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and adherence to industry standards for safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.

responsibilities:
Ensure zero tolerance for unsafe situations.
Uphold ethical conduct in dealings.
Support clear and open communication.
Encourage low-cost, highly efficient operations.
Ensure compliance with Good Hygienic Engineering, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with Quality System , Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), OSHA, and other guidelines.
Encourage continuous improvement and information sharing.
Skills:
Technical, managerial, and leadership skills.
Project Engineering/Management.
Plant design and construction.
Equipment and construction purchasing contracts.
Knowledge of dry powder processing, packaging plants, or similar industries.
Hygienic and sanitary design and engineering.
3A standards.
Powder handling.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for food safety and equipment.
Communication, facilitation, and networking.
TPM (Total Productive Maintenance): AM and/or EM Pillar experience.
Understanding of financial analysis and relevant business drivers.
CAPEX budgeting and preparation.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, Basic AutoCAD, Visio.
Capital Investment Approval and Tracking (NIMT) tool.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering Field (Mechanical/Process/Chemical/Electrical Engineering).
1-3 years of significant experience in a technical field with project engineering background.
Experience in food & dairy, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or consumer products industry preferred.
Supervisory experience managing internal and external project team members.
strong experience facilitating change in manufacturing environment.
