Job Description:

The Patient Scheduler is responsible for patient-related activities, which include patient scheduling, check-in, check-out, basic charge reconciliation, and follow-up activities. The ideal candidate is friendly and provides excellent customer service, creating a positive experience for patients. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all scheduling activities associated with the treatment of patients

  • Responds to emergent scheduling requests, communicating with providers, patients, and involved departments to manage schedules

  • Schedules new patient consults and follow-up appointments, including ancillary tests as needed

  • Contacts and schedules patients in a timely manner

  • Works collaboratively with the clinical team, providing support based on the department's needs

  • Responsible for basic charge entry

  • Updates and enters insurance authorizations

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 1+ year(s) of medical office or other relevant work experience preferred

  • Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office Applications

  • Ability to work independently, with effective time management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask

  • Confident and effective oral and written communication skills

  • Basic insurance knowledge preferred
