The Purchasing Sustainability Analyst will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive sustainable practices within the purchasing department.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of processes and tools to increase transparency in Materials Management (MM), e.g. CO2e emissions, human rights, conflict minerals, and other environmental and social topics.

  • Support the decarbonization strategy by working with MM and our supply base on the preparation of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), collecting information, etc.

  • Partner with key suppliers to improve supply chain impacts, including materials sustainability, water use, emissions, and other social and environmental impacts.

  • Conduct risk analysis to identify negative impacts on human rights, environmental topics, and support implementation of mitigation measures.

  • Work with Engineering, Purchasing and suppliers on increasing the use of new materials, recyclability, circularity, bio-based materials, etc.

  • Work with Sales on customer sustainability requests

  • Contribution to further improvement of ZF Lifetec's Sustainability Strategy for MM

  • Support on training activities.

Requirements

  • Technical or business degree, preferably in Environmental Science or Engineering, or comparable.

  • 2+ years of experience in sustainability preferred.

  • 5+ years of Supply chain and/or sourcing..

  • Familiarity with sustainability and climate change reporting standards and frameworks (GRI, CSRD, LKSG, GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP, etc.). Experience in PCF calculation.
