SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer to support a large federal government agency. The position will have a hybrid telework arrangement with on-site presence one day a week, at a secure government facility.

Work schedule will be Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Work location and schedule subject to change based on government requirements.

Description of Duties:

• Writes and updates material for websites, reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instructional material, how-to's, quick guides, Frequently Asked Questions, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance.

• Refines work of writers, and heads and coordinates activities of writers engaged in preparing technical material for publication in conjunction with or independent from engineering, research, development, and related activities.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience; masters and 1 year; Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

• Excellent written communications and grammatical skills in English with strong attention to detail.

• High proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio) and Adobe products.

• Ability to read, write and interpret technical documentation.

• Ability to write in plain English focused on non-technical audience.

Required Clearance:

• US Citizenship.

• Ability to obtain secret security clearance.

• Ability to obtain interim secret clearance prior to starting work.

Desired Experience, Skills, & Attributes:

• Multimedia skills such as graphic design and video production a strong plus.

• Previous government experience.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
