Amentum Project Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Support the Division Director and Division management in all phases of work. In support of project management, perform the following activities:

  • Interface with Government attorneys, CORs, Case Managers, and other component staff to manage the project and production requirements on the case. The individual will be the primary liaison between the trial team and the case support team.

  • Provide project management support of document review activities for a complex investigation hosted in Relativity, assigning review batches, fielding questions, tracking progress, and status reporting to case team. There are several discovery related activities that must be managed with a keen eye towards deadlines and case priorities.

  • Direct where to deploy resources and when to elevate critical decision points to the lead prosecutors.

  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports using Relativity Case Metrics to provide forecasting and recommend next steps and presenting them to internal as well as external stakeholders. Report on reviewer statistics, issue coding progress, etc., and inform case team of trends or challenges as identified.

  • Assist in identifying potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities. Lean on Relativity expertise using search term reports, dashboards, and email threading visualization to analyze data.

  • While fostering an environment of teamwork, respect, competence, and accountability, perform the following staffing related activities for a remote workforce:

  • Provide management oversight of a team of 12 Law Clerks, who are largely covered by the Service Contract Act.

  • As needed, work with Recruiting on the candidate selection process, including developing guidelines, scopes of work, interviews, and any other requirement to secure the best talent for the position.

  • Manage new employee onboarding and assimilation, staff timesheet approval, off-board requirements.

  • Manage performance of staff including evaluation, performance discussions, merit process, and employee relations, etc. Ensures staff receive regular constructive performance feedback, prompt resolution of problems, and time and opportunity to grow. Promotes staff development through coaching, mentoring, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.

  • May engage with Subcontracts Administration to manage subcontractors and vendors.

  • Coordinate with internal corporate resources such as Finance, HR, Accounting, Recruiting, and Procurement to facilitate project needs and requirements.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location. o DC Barred Attorney (JD) At least four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience in major litigation support projects, including at least one year of Project Manager experience or equivalent.

  • At least four (4) years of prior experience managing a small team of individuals including supervising and managing direct reports.

  • Complex problem-solving skills and expertise with Relativity are a must. Proficient with Relativity and Relativity Case Metrics reporting.

  • Requires outstanding writing skills; outstanding oral communication skills; outstanding management skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe Acrobat, required.

  • Need to be proactive, organized and detail oriented.

  • Experience managing a remote work staff. o Able to establish and maintain collective relationships with co-workers, team members, and a trusted partner rapport with client(s).

Preferred Qualifications :

  • RelativityOne Certified Pro, RelativityOne Reviewer Pro, Relativity Review Management Specialist, or other pertinent certification/training preferred.
