UnitedHealth Group Data Engineer - Remote in Washington, District Of Columbia

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand reporting requirements for DTC support tools' data completeness and quality. (DTC Product Portfolio, Service Manager Pro, Jira, or other approved DTC tracking and management tools)

  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions to track and report on DTC support tools' data completeness and quality

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions meet program requirements and goals

  • Perform data analysis and problem-solving activities to identify data completeness and quality issues

  • Human centric design (HCD) for and create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate data completeness and quality metrics

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting solutions by conducting testing and validation

  • Provide support and troubleshooting for reporting issues related to DTC support tools

  • Collaborate with the program management team to track and report on DTC Workstream priorities and progress

  • Gather and analyze data related to ATO/FedRAMP authorizations in progress

  • Extract, transform, and load data from DTC support tools into reporting tools or platforms

  • Test and validate reporting solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability

  • Create visualizations and dashboards to present DTC support tools' data completeness and quality

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Big Data Engineer or similar role

  • 5+ years of experience programming like Python, R, Java

  • 5+ years of experience with Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Solid experience in program management, preferably in a data management or reporting role

  • Experience with Big data, Hadoop ecosystem or similar application frameworks

  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI

  • Advanced working SQL and No-SQL knowledge and experience working with a variety of databases (MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.)

  • Familiarity with various cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on government projects

  • Experience working in CMMI Level 3 (or higher) environments

  • Experience in one or more popular low-code/no-code platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Power Apps, Pega, or Appian

  • Experience with one or more DevOps toolsets such as Github, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) Stack, JIRA, Bamboo/Jenkins, Confluence, SIEM, GRC, Splunk, Copado, Codescan, Provar, Eggplant, Commvault/Capstorm, Colibra, Secure network management, Endpoint protection

  • Proficiency in HCD and visualizations using Tableau and Business Objects

  • Familiarity with DTC support tools (DTC Product Portfolio, Service Manager Pro, Jira, or other approved DTC tracking and management tools)

  • Demonstrated high degree of adaptability, comfortable in establishing new directions, managing rapid change, and trying different approaches to deal with uncharted territories

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with colleagues, managers, external stakeholders, and client

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
