Trinity Health Credentialing Coordinator in Walker, Michigan

Description:

Coordinates the application and renewal of insurance credentialing for multiple third-party payers. Coordinates the appointment and re-appointment of privileging processes for multiple healthcare facilities; facilitates malpractice application and renewal processes; and maintains a variety of databases to support the credentialing and privileging functions; acts as a liaison for providers and the professional billing office in regard to credentialing and privileging processes. Provides dedicated support to the professional billing team.

Education

Minimum – Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Credentials/Licensure – None Required

Related Experience

Minimum – Three – five years of prior professional office experience (business/legal/medical) with solid customer service experience required, including a minimum of two years of medical billing experience with an understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Health Maintenance Organization and Commercial insurance plans.

Preferred – Prior experience with third-party payor credentialing or facility privileging processes

Minimum –

 Professional presentation with effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to comfortably interact with diverse populations.

 Exercise discretion, confidentiality and respect for privacy in regards to any and all employee, patient and organizational information.

 Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.

 Self-motivated and able to work independently, with excellent time-management skills

 Ability to successfully identify problems and reach resolution.

 Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task, and be flexible in adapting to change.

 Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a strong customer-service orientation.

 Solid computer/typing skills with an ability to demonstrate competency with a standard desktop and Windows-based computer system, including a good understanding of email, e-learning, internet and intranet, and computer navigation. Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job. Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Access is required.

Preferred – Demonstrated proficiency using Access or other data base programs

Physical/Mental

Minimum – Can effectively maintain the workload expected of a busy healthcare administrator. Ability to travel to off-site locations on a regular basis. Physical/Mental
