Description We are offering an opportunity for a Medical Data Entry Clerk in Waco, Texas, 76710, United States. The role involves primarily digitizing paper records, adapting to a demanding environment, and managing a significant backlog. This position is a contract role in the healthcare industry, requiring the candidate to enter and update patient information into electronic health record (EHR) systems, verify data accuracy, maintain confidentiality, and assist in report generation.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and update patient information and medical records into electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of data from various sources

• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff

• Perform data quality checks and audits

• Assist in generating reports and analyzing data

• Organize and manage both paper and electronic files

• Provide general administrative support

• Use Microsoft Excel and other software for data entry and documentation

• Handle billing functions and claim administration while providing excellent customer service. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required

• Proficient in using the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA)

• Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM is necessary

• Ability to effectively use IBM AS/400

• Proficiency in McKesson software is a must

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required

• Experience in Billing Functions is necessary

• Knowledge and experience in Claim Administration

• Strong Customer Service skills are required

• Must have excellent Data Entry skills

• Good Documentation skills are necessary.
