Schedule Weekly Hours: 40 Gundersen Health System is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our team! You will play a pivotal role in protecting our critical infrastructure and data assets from cyber threats. In this role, you will play a key part in safeguarding our sensitive data by implementing and testing new security features, planning upgrades, and responding to security incidents. What's Available: Full time, 80 hours bi-weekly (1.0 FTE) Monday-Friday core business hours Location: hybrid/ remote eligibility for residents of WI, MN, and IA. Must be within a reasonable driving distance to the La Crosse, WI area in the instance of an onsite meeting. What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education. 4 years of experience in IT Security Proven experience with vulnerability management tools like Tenable and Qualys Experience with network segmentation tools like Ordr is a plus! Involves implementing and testing new security feature, planning computer and network upgrades and responding to security incidents on complex systems. Main Responsibilities: 1. Integrate security designs to ensure the organizations proprietary information (data and systems) are safeguarded on simple to moderately complex systems. 2. Determines the level of clearance required to access business information. 3. Investigates security breaches to determine system weaknesses. 4. Conducts testing and configuration procedures across products and systems. 5. Analyzes security management systems, enterprise systems, and data files to validate security. 6. Performs security analysis across networks, databases, and internet/web operations. 7. Evaluate security plans to ensure the integrity of new and/or existing business operations. 8. Translates and design security requirements. 9. Provides management with risk assessment briefings on products and/or services. 10. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. 11. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Learning: REQUIRED Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education. Work Experience: REQUIRED Four years' experience. License and Certifications: DESIRED Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Age Specific Population: N/A Osha Category: Category 3 - Employees in this job title have no reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials.
