Parkview North Hospital Emergency Care Technician in Wabash, Indiana
Summary
Under the direction of a licensed Nurse and with respect for human dignity delivers a variety of high quality, basic patient care services that meet the needs and uniqueness of our patients/visitors. Responsible for the delivery of service excellence; and adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior.
Education
If candidate is at least 17 years of age but does not yet have a current high school diploma/GED, must meet the following requirements: must be actively working towards high school diploma/GED and receive within 1 year of hire. Licensure/Certification
Must have current CPR at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association or obtain within 60 days of hire. CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred or must have the equivalent of health care experience and education [two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role; OR a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN), having completed their first clinical rotation on an extended care or inpatient nursing unit (nursing school transcripts required). Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)].
Experience
Prefer one year minimum experience working in emergency services or patient care setting.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
