Ultrasound Sonographer Location: Bemidji, MN Duration: 13 Weeks Description: MUST have breast experience and OB registered, but do not need to be certified in BR (but highly preferred) General job duties. Types of procedures required. Perform general ultrasound exams including small parts, abdomen and OB/GYN independently. Must be proficient in OB scanning as this is a high percentage of exams performed. Ability to assist with IR/Radiologist procedures requiring ultrasound guidance. Ability to perform breast ultrasound and breast procedures. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Ultrasound equipment: Client Logiq E10 and S8, Philips CX-50. EMR – EPIC, PACs - SECTRA Required skills and minimum years of experience. Two years’ experience in a fast paced environment. Proficiency in all exams in general job duties description above. Strong scanning abilities in OB and Breast required. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) – Both AB (abdomen), OB/GYN & BR specialty registries preferred. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 100 bed hospital and busy clinic – sonographers perform 10-12 exams per 8 hour shift. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Sonographer will be orientated to department procedures, policies and scan protocols by lead sonographer in department.
