At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.

We have an exciting and career defining opportunity for someone to provide technical and administrative support to the Quality and ME functions as a whole, primarily through the co-ordination of various management processes within the department, including management of data inputs and outputs.

What You'll Do

  • Management of quality performance KPI’s, reports and review material for customer-facing and internally-facing reports and review meetings

  • Co-ordinate preparation for quality reviews – data inputs and preparing presentation material, visitor booking, room booking, calendar management and so on

  • Management of inputs to the Quality Drop-Box (used for customer quality concerns and queries)

  • Input of data to customer and internal software tools for customer and GKN quality performance reporting

  • Support the maintenance of Quality Assurance records and activities – audit and NCR documentation, schedules and trackers, external audit visit management, BMS document management

  • Support the maintenance of operator certification processes and records

  • Support the maintenance of Test Department records

  • Support the maintenance of CEC records

  • Support the maintenance of Change Management Team and other ME functional records and activities

  • Support the management of departmental BMS procedures and instructional documents

  • General support to departmental governance processes including EHS matters, communications, reports and reviews, calendar management, purchasing and financial matters

What You'll Bring

We're looking for an individual that possesses:

  • Strong experience in aerospace quality requirements (AS9100, NADCAP, customer requirements etc.)

  • Skilled in root cause analysis, 8D and continuous improvement

  • Well organized and structured with strong skills to work both independently, and in a team

  • Target-oriented and outgoing with good communication skills

  • Knowledge of aerospace products, processes and technologies

  • Experience and skilled with Microsoft office, and ERP systems
