Grace Health Registered Nurse - Prescription Refill in United States

Join our team! Seeking a Prescription Refill - RN to provide professional nursing care mainly via the phone for Grace Health patients following established standards and practices for RX / RF. We offer excellent medical benefits and up to 3 weeks of PTO in the first year! Other perks include no nights or weekend work and a $1,000 sign on bonus ($500 after successful completion of your probationary period and $500 after 6 months)!

This remote position is available to candidates residing in Michigan. Candidates will be required to complete the 6-week orientation and training on-site.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list is not all inclusive.)

  • Promotion of preventive health care.

  • Actively provide appropriate medical advice based on the RN skill set.

  • Data entry/documentation of conversation and plan of care in EMR via computer.

  • Provides care using principals of telephone nursing practice.

  • Uses principles of learning to participate in education with the patient and family.

  • Assists medical providers with processing medication refills based on Grace Health's standing orders protocol.

  • Assists with coordination of health care needs of patients by assisting them in making future appointments.

  • Collects critical information from available sources scanned into the EHR medication lists, other clinic records, lab results, etc.) and makes information available to the provider.

  • Utilize customer service skills, to positively impact the experience of patient care.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication and excellent customer service skills

  • Responds to various patient needs related to refilling prescriptions.

  • Communicates and works within a team environment effectively.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking and assessment skills.

  • Maintain good organization, problem solving, and judgement.

  • Keyboard and navigate within an electronic medical record work environment.

  • Advocates for the rights of the patient and family.

  • Maintains required licensure and optional certification.

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of clinical working areas.

  • Ability to work independently within a team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience: One year of professional nursing experience in ambulatory care preferred

Certificate/License: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Michigan

Certification in ambulatory care nursing or other nursing specialty is desirable

Current BCLS certification
