Zelis Provider Services Specialist I in United States

Position Overview:

We are seeking energetic and reliable professionals to join the Zelis team as a Provider Services Specialist. This call center position is primarily responsible for answering inbound calls from providers and healthcare facilities. The Provider Services Specialist ensures providers successfully register for Zelis services and navigate the portal to view payment details. Our Provider Services Specialists are often the first point of contact, so we are interested in hiring individuals with a commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls efficiently

  • Assist providers with the Zelis provider portal

  • Respond to email inquiries promptly

  • Identify and resolve caller issues

  • Address concerns with empathy

  • Listen actively and manage difficult callers

  • Submit tickets, reset passwords, unlock accounts, and explain services

  • Follow up on complaints and issues

  • Meet or exceed call center metrics

  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA

  • Prevent and address fraudulent activity

  • Follow company policies and procedures

  • Use software and tools effectively

  • Prioritize provider satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Active listening and attention to detail

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Technical aptitude for multiple applications

  • Ability to work in a structured environment

  • Exceptional customer service and phone skills

  • Multitasking and time management

  • Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office

  • Motivated and energetic work ethic

  • Typing speed of 40+ wpm

Experience:

  • 1-2 years in call center/customer service

  • Preferred experience in financial or healthcare services

  • Bilingual/Spanish is a plus

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
