The Managed Hotel On-Property Technology is the team that supports the operations, hardware, and hotels systems for the managed hotel portfolio from an information technology perspective. As a key member of our Managed Hotels On-Property Technology team, you will take ownership in partnering with the right stakeholders to guide and resolve issues impacting hotel operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establish strong relationships with managed hotel leadership (corporate and on-property leadership) to actively support hotel operations and hotel-level initiatives from the information technology perspective.

  • Partner with multiple technology vendors (e.g. Oracle, Skytouch, Shift 4, Assa Abloy, Dormakaba, Think Simplicity, Agilysys, Sonifi, Single Digits) to enable the managed hotel operations and functions; Ensure timely and complete resolution of technical challenges, updates, scheduling upgrades, hardware maintenance and compliance.

  • Ensure timely and complete resolution of technical challenges and business issues; collaborate with internal teams (network, security, identity and access, operations, and desktop Services) to drive end–to-end success.

  • Under the guidance of Senior Property Support Engineer, participate in end-user technology projects, such as migrations, deployments and introducing new technology solutions; PMS, POS, Key servers, Interface servers, PBX, call accounting, credit card machines, workstations, etc.

  • Communicate clearly and accurately with managed hotels on a variety of complex situations.

  • team support queue of tickets and cases to meet service level and customer satisfaction targets.

  • Contributes to the knowledge base and documentation for the Property Support Team to provide an up-to-date status and inventory for the hardware and systems for all hotels.

  • Onboard new hotels to the managed hotel standard information technology platform

  • Work with Microsoft Intune/Autopilot environment including device enrollment, implementing, and configuring auto provisioning scenarios, configuring profiles, managing device access and compliance, application management, managing security etc.

  • Participates in developing new processes and actively improve existing processes.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience of progressive experience in Information Technology (IT)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in following areas preferred:

  • Windows Operating Systems

  • Active Directory

  • Azure Cloud

  • Vendor Management

  • Hotel Operations and hardware/software maintenance

  • Property Management Systems (PMS)

  • Point of Sale Systems (POS)

  • Door lock/key systems

  • Phone Systems (PBX and Call accounting)

  • Credit Card devices

  • Service now ticketing and support software

  • Fundamentals of networking

  • Android and IOS

  • Experience providing direct support to external customers by phone, electronically, and face-to-face preferred

  • Demonstrates key competencies to include Tech Savviness, Ensures Accountability, and Drives Results.

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Managed, On Property Technology You will have 1 peer teammate and collaborate with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Property Support Engineer 2 you will be based in our beautiful, St Louis Park Office in Minneapolis, MN.

Right now, our associates in Minneapolis, MN are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs. The position also requires the ability to occasionally travel on site up to 10% of the time to visit hotels for projects as needed.
