Job Description
Responsibilities:
Coordinate curriculum management in CARS.
Ensure the departmental webpage is regularly updated with the latest curriculum-related information.
Schedule courses and coordinate room assignments.
Manage the departmental teaching plan and teaching assistant assignments.
Maintain departmental academic data for assessments.
Coordinate graduate faculty nominations.
Keep records for departmental academic committees.
Coordinate departmental scholarships, fellowships, and grants for both graduate and undergraduate students.
Ensure university compliance for course field trips.
Coordinate with the business office and maintain academic-related transactions, including scholarships, assistantships, course fees, and grants.
Oversee vehicle usage for field courses.
Manage records for student scholarships, fellowships, assistantships, and internships.
Support student organizations.
Act as a liaison between the academic advising center and the department.
Manage graduate student admissions.
Perform other duties as required.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus an additional six (6) years of related experience.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Excellent computer, organizational, and strong communication skills, excellent customer service skills.
Proactive approach to problem-solving.
Commitment to supporting academic success of both students and faculty.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
