At MidwestOneBank we view our Private Bankers as the primary member of our Wealth team coordinating high net worth client relationships in conjunction with other Wealth partners. Our Private Bankers coordinate the initial profiling and build a team to best fit the client’s needs. Strong networking and sales skills are critical to the success of this role.
Responsibilities
Private Bankers are responsible for developing, managing, and retaining full-service relationships with high net worth private banking clients.
Providing advice, counsel, and high-level customer service to meet the financial needs of clients through extensive and thoughtful profiling.
Supporting MidwestOne standards for managing a client portfolio in a manner that ensures compliance with banking regulations, policies and procedures, credit quality and credit policy requirements.
Shared responsibility for soliciting, developing, managing, and retaining client relationships for Wealth Management. This includes building a cross-functional Wealth team for all high net worth clients.
A key aspect of this role is a strong partnership with our internal commercial and branch banking leaders to profile and grow our Private Wealth client base.
The ability to identify and present new product ideas to senior management as MidwestOnegrows our Private Banking offering.
The ability to “wear many hats” including the occasional need to open accounts and process paperwork to ensure client needs are being met.
Focus on an annual scorecard including areas such as loan growth, deposit growth, new Private Banking households, and investment management.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of post high school education and related work experience
In addition to education, prefer 5-10 years of Private Banking, Business Banking, or Commercial Banking experience.
FINRA 6/7 and 63/66 licenses preferred but not required.
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.
