About the Position

This position is primarily responsible for leading a team of employees in the Dining Services operation. In this role, the successful candidate will display leadership qualities at all times, and provide assistance to all customers as needed. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, the Main Dining Room, Bistro, Fillmore Lounge, Assisted Living, catering and merchandising functions.

Job Duties

  • Monitors daily job activities.

  • Monitors compliance with all appropriate Federal, Stare and Local regulatory standards.

  • Maintains effective resident relations always making resident care our first priority.

  • Monitors sanitation of the entire Dining Services operation ensuring daily and weekly cleaning assignments are completed and all equipment is cleaned thoroughly.

  • Providing assistance in Bistro, Fillmore Lounge, Healthcare, catering functions and special events as necessary.

  • Provides leadership by being a role model and maintains effective communication with and feedback from employees in department.

  • Encourages feedback from, maintains relations with, and monitors commitment of providing highest quality service to customers including residents, internal customers, and partners/suppliers.

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required with at least three years food service experience preferred.

  • Experience in an institutional food service preferred.

  • Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with staff, residents, and others.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Must use discretion and independent judgment when performing job duties.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
