Job Overview:

This role is for a new requirement with VDI Admin Team for the department of Systems Office for Asia (ASO), MUFG Bank Ltd having its regional headquarters in Singapore. The team will be responsible for the maintenance of the VDI and VDI infra end to end covering all branches in Asia & Oceania region excluding Japan and China. The team will also be responsible for any new VDI related implementation and enhancement. This specific role is meant for candidates with intermediate skills to manage, maintain & implement Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will be responsible for design and engineering for VDI platform.

  • The candidate will be responsible for delivery of project related tasks in an efficient way and ahead or meet the project timelines.

  • Candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and should identify and escalate any project related issues in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrate good communication and coordination skills with various support and project teams.

  • Assist the VDI team in maintenance and management of VDI & VDI infra based on the instructions from team lead/manager.

  • Assist the VDI team in handling incidents & requests based on the instructions from team lead/manager.

  • Strictly comply with the various policies & guidelines defined by the bank but not limited to IT related polices.

  • Strictly adhere to various IT security policies & procedures defined by IT security team.

  • Demonstrate good work ethics with coworkers and other staffs.

  • Candidate will be responsible in managing stakeholder and their communication.

Additionally, a successful VDI Product lead needs a combination of technical expertise, market knowledge, and leadership skills to drive the success of VDI products and services. At his core he should be able to demonstrate below:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on market trends, customer needs, and business goals.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Use this information to make informed decisions about the product direction.

  • Product Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to develop and launch new products and features.

  • Customer Insights: Gather feedback from customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and preferences.

  • Requirements Definition: Define and prioritize product requirements based on customer feedback, market analysis, and business priorities.

  • Product Launch: Plan and execute product launches, including coordinating with marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure a successful launch.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the product lifecycle from conception to end[1]of-life, including making decisions about product enhancements, updates, and retirements.

Job requirements:

  • Minimum 12 Years of relevant experience in VDI (Citrix) related technologies.

  • Engineering experience in Active Directory Management and Hypervisor/Cloud.

  • Engineering experience in XenDesktop & XenApp

  • Candidate should be competent to independently perform assigned tasks from respective projects with minimal guidance/supervision from the team in Singapore.

  • Candidate should have previous experience on packaging and virtualized application migration experience.

  • Candidate should have knowledge in scripting and automation.

  • Candidate should have previous experience in managing mid or large sized team.

  • Candidate with previous experience in handling CAPEX and OPEX budgets is added benefit.

  • Any undergraduate degree/above or equivalent post graduate diploma in IT related domain.

XenDesktop & XenApp:

  • Candidate should be able to Implement & Manage catalogs, delivery groups,HDX policies, VDIs and Applications from Citrix studio.

  • Candidate should possess sound understanding of Citrix User Profile Management & other third party profile management tools like Ivanti Environment Manager.

  • Candidate should possess sound knowledge on Windows 10 & Windows 2016 operating systems & features.

  • Candidate should have prior working experience in VDI image management using MCS & PVS.

Hypervisor:

  • Candidate should possess deep understanding of VMWare Hypervisor hosting platform for Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops.

  • Knowledge on VSAN/VxRail technologies will be an added advantage.

Other dependent areas:

  • Candidate should possess sound understanding of AD GPO with multi[1]domain multi forest AD environment.

  • Candidate should possess sound knowledge in AD integrated DNS & DHCP and should have prior experience managing them.

  • Awareness on Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktop integration with AWS will be an added advantage.

  • Knowledge on load balancers like f5 or Citrix Netscaler will be an added advantage.

Certifications:

  • Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization is a minimum requirement.

  • Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization will be an added advantage.

  • Additional certifications on Microsoft, VMWare and Cloud related technologies will be an added advantage.
