In Surgery, our products empower providers to reduce the incidence of surgical complications, improve patients’ experiences and lower the total cost of surgical care.

About the role

The BDM will be responsible to implement the commercial strategy, ensure the success and growth of the business unit in the assigned business map along with developing account strategies, growing the surgery footprint, and supporting incremental sales. He/she will be negotiating and collaborating optimally with customers, influencing support for mutually beneficial outcomes, and achieving consensus. Develop training plans for the team and improving internal process to achieve business unit and company goals.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Increase sales revenue for the assigned business using competitive solutions.

  • Develop account strategies to increase share of category across the surgery portfolio.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers in hospitals, clinics, (C suites)

  • Penetration plan for the new solutions or/and new customers leveraging BD Surgical Solutions.

  • Expand BD footprint in existing accounts by promoting the assigned portfolio.

  • Demonstrate sophisticated knowledge of BD surgery products, industry insights, competitors, technology trends, and regulatory landscape.

  • Build and implement a significant pipeline, applying all available resources within BD SUR.

  • Work closely with other commercial function members, including marketing, account management and operations.

  • Develop & support the strategic transformation of the commercial organization.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical sciences or equivalent is a must.

  • 5 – 7 years sales experience in healthcare, with minimum 2 years of indirect leadership experience. Direct experience in Surgical Solutions is a must.

  • Previous experience interacting, communicating, and negotiating with Hospitals C-Suite members.

  • Able to work independently and prepared for frequent travel within the region (60% of time).

  • Strong strategist who anticipates trends and competitive activity.

  • Judges and adjusts priorities to achieve personal and team objectives.

  • Demonstrates strong planning and organization skills and ability to implement plans.

  • Demonstrates strong business acumen (including ability to analyze information and make recommendations to management)

  • Strong team collaborator and capable to influence and mobilize other teams and resources.
