SunPower Senior Tax Analyst in Philippines

SUMMARY OF ROLE

SunPower is seeking for a Senior Tax Analyst to help our tax team with various tax projects and ongoing tasks. The position will report to the Tax Manager and will primarily support different tax areas in the US and Philippines. This position is a full-time opportunity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support US sales and use tax compliance process for SunPower corporate and lease entities.

  • Support relationships with outside consultants and compliance provider.

  • Respond and resolve any state and local sales tax notices and inquiries.

  • Assist with sales and use tax audits and handle exemption certificates documentation.

  • Tax Budget Validation for Project Accounting Team

  • Prepare GST Receivable/Payable for Canada

  • Prepare payment request forms for property taxes and calculations and payment request forms for commercial activity tax filings.

  • Prepare reports, dashboards and documentations as needed and monthly account reconciliations.

  • Help generate reports for tax compliance and submit reports to the third party.

  • Work cross functionally with other departments to obtain information/paperwork as needed.

  • Help review and analyze tax related data as needed.

  • Perform other duties that may be assigned related to specific tax projects.

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree Finance/Accountancy/ Banking or equivalent.

  • At least 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • Preferably with experience from any Big Four Firms

  • Applicants must be willing to work in Southwoods City, Binan, Laguna.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Ability to work with people in all departments of the company and from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Ability to think creatively and to complete tasks in a timely manner.

  • Desire to work in a flexible “team-based” environment.

  • Not afraid to “roll up the sleeves,” while being able to retain big picture thinking.

  • This is an FTE position.

  • Candidate must be willing to work in Binan Laguna

  • Candidate must be legally entitled to work and reside in the Philippines.

  • Candidate must be willing to render overtime as business requires (weekends, US/PH holidays)

  • Candidate must be flexible to work on a night shift schedule supporting North America region.

  • Candidate will be on flexible work arrangement (combination of onsite and remote work) (if applicable depending on the nature of the job)

  • Tool of Trade: Laptop/Desktop, Extended Monitor, Headset (as needed)
