V2X Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Recovery Vehicle Operator) Lead in Kuwait

Overview

This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP

Under the supervision of the TMP Maintenance Supervisor, oversees the day-to-day execution of the vehicle maintenance shop. Ensures established policies and procedures are effectively enforced. Controls shop maintenance schedule to ensure maximum utilization of assigned personnel. Reviews work in progress and upon completion for conformance to standards and to ensure section maintains the highest standards of workmanship and quality.

  • Working supervisory position.

  • Ensures established policies and procedures are effectively enforced.

  • Controls shop maintenance schedule to ensure maximum utilization of assigned personnel. Reviews work in progress and upon completion for conformance to standards and to ensure section maintains the highest standards of workmanship and quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must provide a copy of the diploma.

  • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Recovery experience preferred (Military or Civilian).

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Heavy Duty Driver’s License

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Tactical and Non-tactical Vehicle (NTV) maintenance at the journeyman level,with at least Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

  • Skills:

  • Must understand and be well-versed in the performance of organizational, direct, and general support maintenance of tactical wheeled and combat (track) vehicles.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • At least Two (2) years of supervisory experience in related field

  • Working Conditions:

  • The worker is subject to extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.

  • The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.

  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

  • Physical Requirements

  • Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Visual Acuity

  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
