CanACRE Analyst, Project Controls in Canada
This position will be based out of our Calgary, AB, Edmonton, AB, or our Toronto, ON office.
Join the Canacre team in an exciting role working on leading edge infrastructure projects.
We are technical experts in land, energy, and transportation development delivering accurate, innovative, and agile solutions to our partners. We provide land acquisition, geospatial mapping, data management, web-based GIS, community relations, land feasibility studies, and permitting services. Canacre’s clients include developers, large scale service providers, and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects, rights of way, resources, and infrastructure across Canada and the United States. Canacre works on large-scale wind and solar power projects, high-voltage transmission lines, pipeline projects, municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

As a Project Controls Analyst, you will be responsible for project control support on various projects by developing/ updating schedules, tracking project costs, monitoring performance against plans, identifying/communicating areas of concern, and preparing monthly project status reporting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor cost, schedule, risk, rates, and forecasts using ERP systems, project management tools, and software.
Review and validate project expenses for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the organization’s guidelines.
Produce monthly project reporting on cost, schedule, risk, and overall project status for Project Controls Manager.
Coordinate project meetings, including progress updates, status reviews, and risk discussions.
Responsible for project setup on our ERP system, including inputting appropriate WBS, budget and rates.
Review project change orders, conduct cost and schedule analysis, and update approved change orders in ERP system accordingly.
Ensure timely and accurate distribution of project-related information to stakeholders.
Liaise with various groups within the company , including but not limited to Estimation , Finance, Accounting, and Operations .
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Post-secondary education in planning, project management, accounting, administration, or business.
Experience
Minimum 2 years' work experience in a project driven environment, in a Project Controls or Project Administration role.
Knowledge/Skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.
Keen analytical ability and attention to detail.
Exceptional computer skills, MS Project, Excel, Word, Access, and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Licenses/Accreditations
Formal training in Cost Control (considered an asset)
