Oracle Principal Cloud Solution Architect in Australia

Job Description

Development and maintenance of custom applications for Oracle HRIT and other HR functions, which includes DB design, UI creation, application security implementations etc. This developer should be able to create high quality web applications using Oracle's latest technologies and by following Oracle's development guidelines. This developer will work very closely with project management team during all the phases of development cycle.

Responsibilities

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

Required professional skills:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Oracle APEX application development

  • Good knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL

  • Proficiency with JavaScript, CSS, Ajax and jQuery

  • Knowledge in JSON/REST web services, JavaScript templates, node.js and python.

  • Knowledge of BI Publisher, Apex Office Print (AOP) and Oracle OCI would be an added advantage.

  • Familiarity with host virtualization technologies (Containers, Docker, etc.)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Liquibase, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab etc)

Other skills:

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills necessary

  • Extensive interaction with the user community – both in terms of requirement analysis/gathering and post implementation support

  • Self-starter and motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced Rapid Application Development environment

  • Ability to effectively share technical information, contribute towards design and development

  • Strong analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development

  • Proven problem-solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection and implementation.

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking

  • Capacity to embrace changes, adapt to new technologies

  • Ability to handle multiple development tasks and assignments simultaneously
