Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves managing billing information updates, contacting clients, and ensuring timely payments. The selected candidate will work with Netsuite and use their skills in accounting software systems, Microsoft Excel, billing functions, collection processes, credit, and customer service to perform their duties efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Contact clients to discuss their overdue payments and negotiate pay-off deadlines or payment plans

• Update and maintain accurate billing information for clients in the system

• Use Netsuite to keep track of all collection efforts and update client accounts

• Apply accounting software systems to manage credit and collection processes effectively

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze data related to collections

• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.

• Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure high-quality service is provided to clients

• Perform credit checks on potential clients and manage risks by setting up payment terms and credit limits

• Resolve client discrepancies and short payments

• Conduct account research and analysis. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Collections Specialist or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

• Experience in handling Billing Functions is necessary.

• Understanding and knowledge of Collection Processes is required.

• Experience as a Collector is preferred.

• Knowledge of Credit systems and processes is essential.

• Excellent Customer Service skills are a must.

• Should be able to handle sensitive information confidentially.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills are required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• High school diploma or equivalent education level is required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
