This role is responsible for providing consistent and accurate administrative, analytical and client service support to one or more Portfolio Manager(s).

CUSTOMER

  • Prepare all documentation and provide updates to the Portfolio Manager in preparation for client meetings

  • Create reports for analysis of client accounts

  • Accept/create leads and ensure correct referral coding on TD Leads

  • Provide a high level of organization for the branch by excelling at administration

  • May act as a secondary contact for the Portfolio Manager’s relationships

SHAREHOLDER

  • Prioritize and manage own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity

  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate

  • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional area

  • Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures

  • Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all customer transactions / activities

  • Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest

  • Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit

  • Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques

  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team

  • Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities

  • Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriate.

  • Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce

  • Act as a brand champion for the business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • First level professional role with focus on performing functional specialized business services or support within fairly well-defined parameters as directed

  • Time horizon and nature of work is generally short-term focused daily / weekly to monthly

  • Requires if basic experience and skills and provides standard reporting and /or analysis as directed

  • Requires basic knowledge of the function and / or the business supported

  • Focus on developing conceptual knowledge of practices and procedures for own area or function

  • Understands key business and functional drivers and processes in the context of their own work

  • Uses existing established methods and procedures to complete assignments and / or solve problems

  • Generally works within well-defined parameters under the direction of management

  • Reports to the Manager Client Service

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree or community college diploma preferred

  • 2 years of relevant work experience

  • completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or other industry related courses considered an asset

  • Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships and work collaboratively, confidentially and independently
