This role is eligible for annual bonus and annual merit increase. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. How You'll Perform the Role The Production Scheduler is responsible for proactively maintaining and continuously improving the production schedule. The Production Scheduler is responsible for complete and accurate communication to all levels of the Supply Chain Team, providing the necessary information in a clear and concise manner, enabling the group to achieve the performance level necessary to provide exemplary service. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities: Calculate figures such as required amounts of labor, materials, and manufacturing costs, using production schedules, MRP/MPS system and reports, calculators, or computers. Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information, so that status reports can be completed. Confer with Plant Supervisors and Operators, Procurement, Distribution, and Customer Service to coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays. Examine documents, materials, and products, monitoring work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. Maintain accurate production schedule, providing data to Procurement in order to ensure that inventories of materials and supplies are available to facilitate efficiencies and to meet production demands. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with Management, Customer Service, and Production. Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments. Work with New Product Setup to establish Bills of Material (BOM), routings, and information on required equipment, numbers of workers needed, and cost projections. Plan production commitments and timetables for business units, specific programs, and/or jobs, using sales forecasts. Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, and changes to cost estimates. Monitor production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures, using this information for Continuous Improvement activities such as maintenance of routings and BOMs, increasing accuracy of production schedule and efficiency reporting.
