Robert Half Accounts Payable Lead in Vancouver, Washington

Description

Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee and enhance his clients accounts payable function. This role involves critical thinking, building relationships with internal and external parties, and streamlining current processes. You will be responsible for ensuring all invoices are reviewed and processed accurately and promptly, and you will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the accounts payable team and supervise accounts payable staff

• Lead, mentor, and provide support to accounts payable staff as needed

• Manage the processing of high-volume invoices with accurate coding

• Oversee shared AP email inboxes and assign tasks to AP team specialists

• Ensure appropriate approval flow on invoices and expense reimbursements

• Review expense coding in Ramp (Corporate credit card) and monitor transactions for compliance with company guidelines

• Process employee expense reimbursements and refunds

• Complete New Vendor Forms and maintain 1099 in accordance with company guidelines

• Research and resolve discrepancies with invoices, coding, and documentation

• Reconcile vendor statements of account before remitting payment

• Lead team in developing process improvement tools, automating bills, and maintaining monthly checklist

• Act as liaison with Practices to resolve any issues/inquires

• Perform accounting duties such as account maintenance and account reconciliations for month-end close process

• Assist the AP Manager with urgent requests/inquiries, requiring the ability to research and resolve quickly

• Establish cross-functional relationships while driving process efficiency.

Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager role

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services

• Strong skills in Data Processing

• Experience with ERP Solutions

• Proficient in Accounting Functions

• Understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to perform Check Processing tasks

• Experience handling Discrepancy

• Ability to manage Expense Reporting

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
